All manufacturers warranties will be passed on to the owner of the rod (or reel). DJ's work is guaranteed for one (1) full year.

If the rod breaks by the cork, it is usually caused by a nick in the blank or wear. High end blanks are nice to fish with, but need to be handled with care. Cost of repairing a rod in this case would be new cork + $15 ft. to strip and re-tie the rod.

If a blank breaks, it must be sent back to the manufacturer so they can determine whether they will charge for the break. If they cover the cost, they will send a new blank at no charge. I will rebuild the blank at the cost of materials only. If the manufacturer charges for the blank, that charge will be passed on to you. Standard charge for sending a rod back to the manufacturer is $55.

Base price $15 ft. labor, plus material. Material means guides, cork, reel seats and hardware. Items not charged include thread and epoxy. They are covered in the labor price..
